THE Shires has been voted Wiltshire’s best shopping centre for the sixth year running by local newspaper readers.
The Shires, which has been chosen the top shopping centre by readers of the Wiltshire Times for 2008, continues to strengthen its appeal to shoppers from a wide area.
Attractively laid out, with light and airy walkways, the undercover smoke-free shopping centre is home to many well-known names, including Asda, Argos, and Waterstones.
The centre has more than 50 shops and has parking for 1,000 cars. It is also home to Trowbridge Museum sited in a former wool mill.
